
Miley Cyrus has recently incorporated a cover of “Lilac Wine” into her show. After performing the song in Melbourne, Australia on her Bangerz tour, the singer tweeted a link containing a recording of her live version of the track. Listen below:

“Lilac Wine” has been performed by a daunting list of artists, including Eartha Kitt, Nina Simone, and Jeff Buckley. It was originally written in 1950 by James Shelton.
Cyrus sounds at ease performing a spare, simple version of the heart-broken ballad, though it’s not her first time with the song. She tackled this tune before. In 2012, she posted a Youtube video of her playing the song as part of her backyard sessions. You can see that version here:
