The wildfires wreaking havoc on Southern California have had a huge impact on the community. As they have during tragedies in the past, Twitter users have embraced the platform to promote safety advisories, as well as to send prayers to those affected, hoping that all ends as well as it possibly can.
Celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga were among those tweeting out their concerns — Cyrus sharing advice on caring for wild animals displaced from their natural habitats by the wildfires, and Gaga praying for those suffering.
Yesterday, Billboard spoke to rapper KYLE, who saw his own home ravaged by the fires during a news broadcast.

Saying a prayer and sending loving thoughts to those suffering in California due to these horrible fires. No one deserves to lose their home, and during the holidays this is especially traumatic. Praying for you and that you find some peace and the flames settle. — pic.twitter.com/eABzeROpVx

Praying for my friends and family back in California. The fire has forced so many evacuations and apparently is right next to my house — But as long as everyone is safe, all of it can be rebuilt. So be safe!

Los Angeles, if you don’t need to drive anywhere this morning, please don’t. Keep roads clear for first responders and those in neighborhoods that need to evacuate. Stay safe.— Emmy Rossum (@emmyrossum) December 6, 2017
