In a preview — with the full issue hitting newsstands next week — Cyrus discusses her decision to no longer participate in red carpets. After walking the red carpet for the premiere of A Very Murray Christmas last year, the singer decided it would be her last.
“When people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit — it’s like Zoolander.”
She then reveals her go-to advice for her contestants on The Voice: Be like Bernie Sanders. “Be the person people want and love. Don’t worry about the masses. That’s how you make a memorable moment.”
Cyrus also addresses her friendship with Britney Spears. “She’s a little distant in her world. I just want Britney to be happy. Every time she puts out new music, I’m like, ‘Is that what she wants to be doing? Or does she just want to chill?’ She’s looking so good right now, and looking happy.”
