Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato go way back to the days of Disney — before Bangerz, “Confident” and puberty, even — so they were all smiles when they ran into each other at March For Our Lives on March 24.
Both artists performed at the rally for gun control, and they both opted for tried-and-true favorites from their catalogs as well. Instead of opting for a recent cut from her 2017 album, Tell Me You Love Me, Lovato sang the stirring “Skyscraper” off 2011’s Unbroken.

For Cyrus, she went soared through one of her most inspirational releases, “The Climb,” and the motivational anthem from Hannah Montana: The Movie that’s gone on to comfort her fans and many others in troubled times long after she ditched her fictional alter-ego.
