U.K. pop artist Mika is the latest big name confirmed for the Bestival 2009, held Sept. 11 to 13 at the U.K.’s Isle of Wight. Organizers claim it will be his only full live band performance at a U.K. festival this summer.
Also announced is the Hot Rats, side project to Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey of U.K. alt-rock stalwarts Supergrass and a host of new acts including the Loose Cannons, Benji B and Ross Allen.
This year’s Bestival will also feature Massive Attack, MGMT, Lily Allen, Elbow, Fleet Foxes and Seasick Steve, amongst others.
Although tickets are still available, organizer Rob Da Bank claims the festival is “very close to selling out for yet another year.”
