Migos dropped “Supastars” on Monday (Jan. 22), the latest teaser of what’s to come on the group’s highly anticipated third official LP, Culture II.
The song features the trio’s usual choppy, ad lib-heavy flow, but paired with a refreshingly melodic, video game-sounding trap beat, complete with a synth crooning quietly in the back. The production is courtesy of beatmaker Honorable C.N.O.T.E., who’s responsible for songs like A$AP Ferg’s “New Level,” Travis Scott’s “Way Back,” and Rich the Kid and Migos’ own “Dat Way.”
“Supastars” follows the Pharell-produced “Stir Fry” and the collab-heavy “MotorSport” as the third advance cut to come before Culture II, their follow-up to last year’s Culture. The project is set to drop in full on Jan. 26, the anniversary of its breakthrough first installment.
