A new hip-hop compilation is getting a sign-off from the First Lady.
Michelle Obama is the honorary chairwoman of the Partnership for a Healthier America, which is teaming up with the Hip Hop Public Health Foundation for “Songs for a Healthier America,” a free, 19-track set. It’s due Sept. 30.
Alongside her Let’s Move! campaign, the album will encourage children to eat right and exercise. The album will include contributions from Matisyahu, Ariana Grande, Doug E. Fresh, Ashanti and Travis Barker, among others.
The First Lady herself joins Jordin Sparks, TV’s Dr. Oz and other stars in the video for lead single “Everybody,” giving a monologue to explain the Let’s Move campaign.
