Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, gave his testimony in front of Congress and the nation on Feb. 27, as well as answered pressing questions from the House Oversight and Reform Committee.
The highly anticipated hearing saw Cohen — who once said he would do anything to protect Trump — accuse the president of the United States of criminal behavior, dishonesty and racism, according to The New York Times.
“He is a racist. He is a con man. And he is a cheat,” Cohen said about Trump before Congress.
As the nation watched, celebrities took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the hearing — including Chrissy Teigen, Lauren Jauregui, Bette Midler, John Cusack, Morgan Freeman, Conan O’Brien and more.
See some of the reactions below:
Republicans trying to crucify an already convicted man for telling the truth about the man he worked for (which is why he’s convicted?) is so strange? The old boys club STILL covering for a man who’s obviously guilty? Whats the deal? #CohenHearing

HERE’S A GOOD ONE! #COHEN SAYS: • “Copies of letters I wrote at Mr. Trump’s direction that threatened his high school, colleges, and the College Board NOT TO RELEASE his grades or SAT scores.” Trump doesn’t want Americans to know about his shitty grades; #RELEASEHISGRADES!

Gop wants to know where “the secret boxes are “
Cohen says they were at my law offices – the ones the feds raided – and returned to him
Gop got nothing …— John Cusack (@johncusack) February 27, 2019
The line of character assassination that somehow Cohen can’t be credible because he won’t say under oath he’d never take a book or movie deal is ludicrous! He’d be dumber than Trump to do that!

Hmm. Kind of a vague accent. Does anyone know where Michael Cohen is from?

Hi, mister Cohen. Mike Birbiglia here. I’m not in congress but I have a midsize twitter following. Can we go back to the part where the president said that he ran for president as a “giant informercial” and then he accidentally won and is the president?
