“Haven’t Met You Yet,” the lead single from Canadian superstar Michael Bublé’s new album has made history, becoming the first track to debut at the top of Billboard’s AC charts in Canada in the 13-year history of BDS Canada, which creates North America’s radio charts.
“A number one debut at any format is an amazing accomplishment,” says Paul Tuch, director, BDS Canada. “To debut at number one on the AC chart where new songs tend to take many weeks before reaching a high enough rotation to move up the chart, makes it that much more impressive.”
The single, co-written by Bublé, debuted as the top on spins and audience on the mainstream AC Chart, according to BDS, and No. 42 on spins and No. 24 in audience on the Hot AC chart, and No. 11 for audience on all format charts combined.
“Haven’t Met You Yet,” was co-written by Bublé along with Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies and is the first track taken off of Bublé’s album, which is being released in North America on Oct. 9, and Europe and the U.K. the following week. Bublé’s last album, “Call Me Irresponsible,” sold 2.3-million copies in North America.
