Michael Bublé’s tour of Australia has taken an unexpected swing with the crooner knocking a tooth out during a show.
The Canadian artist underwent emergency dental surgery after taking a blow to his gnashers during a concert Friday night at Sydney’s Allphones Arena. He has only himself – and his mic – to blame for the injury.
Michael Bublé: My GRAMMY Moment
By most accounts, he didn’t give a toothless performance. Although the incident happened early in his set (while performing “Haven’t Met You Yet”), Bublé managed to finish the show before making a trip to the dentist. He shared the post-show action on Instagram.
Bublé’s trek has had its fair share of behind-the-scenes drama. Showbiz, a premium and specialty ticketing agency that provided VIP tickets for the tour, went into administration for reasons unrelated. And as the dates began to roll, a media frenzy kicked off on claims his entourage of performers were underpaid at a Melbourne show.
Bublé’s eventful Australasian tour now moves to New Zealand, where on Wednesday he’ll play the first of two dates at Auckland’s Vector Arena.
