Mexican pop star Gloria Trevi, who is currently on a major U.S. tour, will star in her own reality series on mun2 as part of the 2014-2015 season.
Trevi, who has been an entertainer for more than three decades, will give fans insights into her life as she, her family and team prepare for the launch of her U.S. tour “De Pelicula.” Trevi is married and has two young children.
“We will continue to be the marketplace leaders and raise the bar on must-watch programming for the Hispanic audience across the board,” said Joe Bernard, senior vice president, sales, mun2. The Trevi partnership was announced at the network’s upfront presentation.
In April, Trevi was featured on the Divas panel at the Billboard Latin Music Conference where the singer spoke about the music industry, how she’s been able to stay relevant and what it takes to succeed. Cameras were also in tow in Miami as Trevi worked her way through the conference which this year celebrated 25 years.
The untitled Trevi reality series is being produced by Cinemat, which also produces “Larrymania” starring regional Mexican star Larry Hernandez. The songstress is currently promoting her album “De Pelicula,” which was released through Universal Music Latino last year.
Mun2, part of NBCUniversal, has been the home of a slate of music-based reality shows through the years including the popular “I Love Jenni,” which featured the late Jenni Rivera who died in a plane crash in late 2012 as she was working in Mexico.
