Meghan Trainor announced that she and husband Daryl Sabara are expecting their first child.
The singer announced the news on Wednesday morning (Oct. 7), with a photo of her ultrasound surrounded by Christmas decorations.
“You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!! Daryl and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!,” she wrote along with emoji of presents, heart eyes and party face.
Grammy-winner Trainor, 26 and the former Spy Kids star, 28, got married in December 2018 after two years of dating.
Appearing on the Today Show to make the announcement, the couple shared the news together, with Trainor saying, “We’re so excited we couldn’t sleep. We’ve been waiting for so long. I was thinking about who do we tell first and I’ve told Hoda since I was 19, going to the Today show, ‘I will have the most babies in the world’… Every time I see you, I’m like, it’s going to happen — and it finally happened!”
Trainor also dropped two holiday songs on Wednesday, one co-written with her brothers Ryan and Justin Trainor, “My Kind of Present,” as well as a cover of Wham!’s 1986 classic “Last Christmas.” Both will appear on Trainor’s upcoming first holiday album, A Very Trainor Christmas, due out on Oct. 30 via Epic Records.
