After years of thriving in the South, crunk music is now everywhere. Crunk veterans Ying Yang Twins look to take full advantage of the sub-genre’s newfound fame with their TVT debut, “Me & My Brother.” The Atlanta-based duo—D Roc and Kaine—first had heads bouncing with their Collipark/Koch set “Alley” and single “Say I Yi Yi.” Ironically, the lead single this time around, “Naggin’,” is a departure from crunk anthems. Produced by Beat-in-Azz, the melodic track is relationship-oriented. The Twins turn up the heat on such songs as “Georgia Dome (Get Low Sequel)” and “Salt Shaker.” The former finds the duo picking up where “Get Low”—Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s red-hot single—left off. Meanwhile, the latter, which features Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, will have ladies shaking it up this fall.—RH
