U.K. social media sensations Max & Harvey are the first signing to RMI Recordings, a label formed last July by Disney Music Group and DigiTour Media co-founders Chris Rojas and Meridith Valiando Rojas.
The 15-year-old twins, who began posting covers of their favorite songs two years ago, have garnered a social media following of more than six million fans. They have more than 17 million views on their YouTube channel and have been the subjects of a book, Max and Harvey (In A Book) (Penguin), as well as a BBC documentary, Max and Harvey (In A Show).
The duo, who are working on their RMI debut with both U.K. and U.S. songwriters, have been nominated for iHeart Music’s Social Star Award and recently wrapped a U.K. tour. They will headline the DigiTour: Arctic Lights tour in the U.S. this spring.
RMI focuses on “digital-first” talent, which dovetails with DigiTour Media’s role in producing live experiences with social media stars aimed at Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
Disney Music Group is home to Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records, Disney Music Publishing, Buena Vista Records, and Disney Concerts.
