Warner Music Germany managing director Alexander Maurus has left the company.
Maurus, who has served as MD of the Hamburg-based affiliate since 2006, left on his own initiative, according to Warner Music.
“I have to accept Alexander’s decision, but I regret that Warner Music looses such a qualified marketing capacity and a valuable team-player,” comments Bernd Dopp, chairman and CEO Warner Music G/S/A. “Alexander had a substantial share at the success-story of Warner Music in the last [few] years.”
Prior to his promotion last year, he was managing director of marketing for the company’s G/S/A region. Maurus has also served as chairman of the BPW chart and marketing committee.
The company did not comment on Maurus’ future plans, or a possible successor.
