Tim Maunder has been recruited to the vacant role as CFO of EMI Music, the recorded music division of London-based EMI Group plc. Maunder, currently CFO with Clear Channel International Outdoor Division, joins EMI in January 2006.
On joining the music major, Maunder comments, “the opportunity to manage the finance function of a business that is leading digital development in music was one I simply couldn’t turn down, and I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead.”
In his new role, Maunder succeeds Stuart Ells, who rose to COO and regional director for EMI Music in May. Maunder reports to EMI Music chairman/CEO Alain Levy, and has dotted-line responsibility to EMI Group CFO Martin Stewart.
The executive joined Clear Channel in June 1992 (then known as More O’Ferrall) as finance director of its U.K. business. During his seven year’s service, he managed the finance function which saw divisional sales quadruple. He was also a member of the firm’s executive committee.
