Pop alternative acts matchbox twenty and Everclear have teamed up for a month-long tour, kicking off Feb. 27 in Minneapolis. Lifehouse, whose single “Hanging By A Moment” is No. 2 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart, will also be along for the ride, which is scheduled to run through March 29 in Universal City, Calif.
“Mad Season by matchbox twenty” (Lava/Atlantic) is nominated for a best rock album Grammy, while the single “Bent” is up in the best rock song category. Producer Matt Serletic is also nominated for producer of the year. The album, which peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 last June, is at No. 35 on the chart this week.
Everclear will be out supporting a pair of albums it released in 2000, “Songs From An American Movie Vol. One: Learning How To Smile” and “Songs From An American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time For A Bad Attitude.” The albums debuted at No. 9 and No. 66 on The Billboard 200, respectively.
