Thursdays stay saved for Martin Garrix at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The famous nightlife venue has announced their signing the international DJ and producer as a summer resident. Each week, he’ll bring his electrifying sound to the open-air, poolside dance floor every Thursday from July 4 to Aug. 29.
“Playing at Ushuaïa is like coming home to me,” Garrix tells Billboard Dance. “It’s always amazing, and I’m happy we get to do it for another year. I can’t wait to get back up on the stage and show everyone our new production and play new tracks.”
As in years past, Ushuaïa Ibiza celebrates each day with a new theme. The venue comes to life with confetti, costumed gogo dancers, CO2, pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art light and sound production. Of course, all that is second to the music, and Garrix is a mainstay of the brand.
“It’s incredible to have Martin back with us for another year,” says Ushuaïa co-founder Yann Pissenem. “He’s a big part of our Ushuaïa family. Artists like Martin help us to achieve our mission of showcasing the most sought-after acts in dance music. We have some massive production plans in progress with a brand-new stage design. Bring on summer.”
