Marshmello already promised fans he’s cooking up an EP for his “day ones.” Now, he’s proved his point with a 10-second amuse bouche of candy-trap flavors.
It’s a quick dip in the sticky sauce, but it does sound like the songs from his debut LP Joytime. Those tunes all have the same powder sugar coating and rainbow rush of energy. He may have crossed over into the mainstream pop world with Selena Gomez, Anne-Marie and Logic, but he clearly still knows how to whip a dance floor into a stiff peak.
