Ever-puft producer Marshmello is takin’ his sweet shop on the road. The Melloville tour for 2018 kicked off in San Francisco with two absolutely maddening shows at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for back-to-back nights, Jan. 13 and 14.
It was wild, it was heart-warming, and it was a moment for Marshmello to pay homage to some of the Bay Area’s finest. It was everything a Marshmello head could hope for, and here, we explore the five most exciting moments as shared on social media by you, the citizens of Melloville worldwide.

1. Marshmello Is Actually…Will Ferrell
Wonder no longer who lurks beneath the mask. It’s absolutely been funnyman Ferrell from day one. OK, maybe it’s just a hilarious Funny or Die sketch for the mysterious music man to use as an intro to his forthcoming sets. It’s still fun to play pretend.
2. There Was No Shortage of Special Guests

If you’re going to play the Bay Area, you’ve got to give it up to the man, the myth, the legend; Too $hort. The local icon and international star stormed the stage to run through his hit “Blow the Whistle,” a song so jammin’ it could start a party at 11 a.m. Marshmello also brought out the homies SaidTheSky, Yultron and Nef the Pharoah to drive the excite-o-meter over 9,000.

Marshmello had dropped his collaboration with late rapper Lil Peep the day before his Saturday night set. Of course he had to show love to his homie. “Spotlight” is the first song to come from Lil Peep since the 21-year-old died of an apparent drug overdose in late 2017.

The Bill Graham Civic Center is a huge venue. Only the biggest names can fill its hallowed halls, and Marshmello sold more than 17,000 tickets both nights. If you ever doubted his ooey-gooey power, just stop.
