Many dance producers expressed sadness at the untimely death of underground emo-rapper Lil Peep, who died last week at the age of 21. But, in particular, Marshmello seems to have been affected by the artist’s passing.
After publishing an impassioned series of tweets in memory of his friend, the producer and DJ worked a heart-tugging live tribute into his recent performance at this weekend’s GoldRush Festival in Arizona.
Marshmello mixed the late rapper’s “Beamer Boy” into his set on Sunday, as a large image of Lil Peep reading “RIP” covered his giant LED back screen.
