Blackbears aren’t something you wanna meet in the forest, but in the studio is an entirely different story. This Blackbear is an LA-based singer-songwriter who spills his heart out in his lyrics and on social media — and kids are eating it up.
He’s got a versatile alt-R&B style that’s seen him paired with Justin Bieber, G-Eazy, James Blake, and more. He was picked to open for Fall Out Boy‘s Fall 2017 tour, and over the weekend, Blackbear and Marshmello kept sharing pictures of the vocalist hitting the town in the producer’s famous mask.
“The secret is out,” Marshmello tweeted, promising fans new music from the two together very soon. Blackbear’s original recordings are much darker than what we’re used to coming from the candy-colored star producer. We except hella trap beats, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
