For a segment on The Tonight Show, Adam Levine and Co. donned disguises and entered the New York subway for an impromptu performance of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Sugar,” lifted from their fifth studio set, V.
Looking more like an early version of Mumford & Sons than squeaky-clean pop-rock stars, the shtick seemed to work until Jimmy Fallon blew their cover. The late-night talk-show host has previously coaxed Miley Cyrus and U2 into busking incognito on the subway. Watch Maroon 5’s mini-set below.
