So what happened on the Real-Time Charts this week?
Maroon 5 released the official music video to “Sugar” on Wednesday, Jan. 14, in which the band stages a viral stunt and crashes “every wedding they possibly can” in L.A. The “Sugar” video was even directed by the same director behind the 2005 movie Wedding Crashers, David Dobkin.
The stunt worked: fans were surprised and “Sugar” topped the Trending 140. But, the premise of the video was revealed to be a staged hoax. It was discovered that one of the “brides” in the video was actually a contestant from America’s Next Top Model and that one of the moms and dads in the video were actually actors.
So ‘Electric Love’ by Børns sounds like an instant classic to me….. #justsayingggg garrettborns http://t.co/I32poRlhVd

Charli XCX and Rita Ora team up on the music video for reworked track, “Doing It,” which topped the chart. The original version is featured on Charli XCX’s album Sucker. And last there’s Børns, the Michigan-raised, dream-rock writer who topped the Emerging Artists Chart with his new single “Electric Love” after receiving endorsements on Twitter from both Taylor Swift and OneRepublic.
