Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker are just so hot right now, it makes sense for them to get together again.
Ronson, who has just completed a stint on the big stage of the Super Bowl 50, is gearing up for what could be a successful Grammy Awards, where his ubiquitous “Uptown Funk” is behind his hattrick of nominations. Tame Impala and its frontman are on tour in support of their critically lauded third album Currents, which is up for a Grammy Award (best alternative music album).

Parker laid vocals for Ronson’s Uptown Special album tracks “Summer Breaking” and “Daffodils” (with lyrics by Michael Chabon). Both now have music videos, rolled into a double-barrel clip shot by Theo Wenner, who has worked with the likes of Taylor Swift, The Black Keys and Adele.

“This video is something that Mark and I have been discussing on and off for a year prior to making it,” Wenner explains to Rolling Stone. “It came about in a very abstract way. We had long conversations just about color and times of day. I had it in my head the whole time that we should set it in the tropics. That’s the place, those are the colors that I pictured listening to the two songs.”
