He’s far from the shallow (end) now: On Wednesday (March 6), NoMad Las Vegas at Park MGM confirmed exclusively to Billboard that Mark Ronson is set to headline the debut weekend of the luxury hotel’s latest attraction: JEMAA – The NoMad Pool Party.
The Oscar-winning songwriter behind A Star Is Born‘s breakout hit duet “Shallow” — currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — will anchor the event’s opening weekend on Saturday, April 13. Mayer Hawthorne will take the stage the day before on Friday, April 12, with DJ Five closing out the weekend on Sunday, April 14.
“We couldn’t think of a better artist to christen JEMAA – The NoMad Pool Party than Mark,” said Sean Christie, president of events and nightlife for MGM Resorts International in a statement. “Having just won the trifecta with Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards for ‘Shallow,’ he will help set the tone for the caliber of artists to be expected during JEMAA’s inaugural season.”
Taking place every weekend of the pool party season, JEMAA will cultivate a luxe daytime party atmosphere for guests and attendees with curated music programming by artists and DJs appearing at On the Record, Park MGM’s speakeasy and nightclub. Ronson will spin at On the Record on March 23 and again on April 12, the day before his JEMAA debut.
