Marina Diamandis is the latest singer to fall victim to vocal cord woes.
The Marina and the Diamonds frontwoman has delayed her upcoming UK dates after “experiencing vocal problems for 3 weeks now,” she wrote on her official website.
“Today the doctor has told me that I cannot sing performance-length shows while I undergo treatment, or I could cause permanent damage to my vocal chords,” he added.
The medical issues come as Marina and the Diamonds release sophomore album “Electra Heart” in the UK, with the U.S. launch set for July on Atlantic.
A number of singers, including Adele and John Mayer, have been stricken with vocal ailments in recent months, with the latter two each undergoing surgery to return to health.
