Congratulations are beginning to come in from celebrities and musicians hailing the passage of marijuana legalization in California by the state’s voters. Prop 64 is currently leading by a 56 percent – 44 percent margin, with less than 20 percent of precincts reporting. It has been declared a winner.

Cypress Hill’s B-Real shared his thoughts late on election night.

Chong also added a shout-out to Florida, where voters passed Amendment 2, legalizing medical marijuana by a 71 percent – 29 percent margin.

Earlier in the day, Seth Rogen bragged about voting for Prop 64.

Under the banner Artists for 64, three dozen musicians, actors and athletes called for its passage. They included Sting, Melissa Etheridge, Jay Z, Herbie Hancock, Harry Belafonte, Common, Pusha T and Bill Kreutzmann.
Prop 64 and Amendment 2 were two of the nine initiatives on ballots across the nation. Adult-use legalization also passed in Massachusetts by a 53%-47% margin. Races in Maine, Arizona and Nevada are too close to call. On the medical marijuana side, Arkansas and North Dakota also passed measures, and one in Montana had yet to be called.
