The global icon will return for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018 despite butting heads with Dick Clark Productions after last year’s snafu.
In a joint statement, Carey and Dick Clark Productions said: “We can all agree that last year didn’t go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018. See you in Times Square!”
The New Year’s Eve celebration will air live, beginning at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 on ABC. Carey joins previously announced performers including Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland.
