Mariah Carey has reportedly landed in the hospital due to a severe flu. According to TMZ, the powerhouse diva is fighting off a nasty flu that has her hooked up to IVs in a New York City hospital after falling ill on Tuesday night.

The gossip site says that Mimi started feeling symptoms on Tuesday night following an appearance at New York’s Pier 1. Usually one to share her festive moments on social media, Carey took to Twitter in good spirits after the Pier 1 pop-up party, tweeting:

Carey has been hard at work on her forthcoming Christmas film A Christmas Melody, a Hallmark presentation that will star Mariah herself, Lacey Chabert, and Brennan Elliott. The TV film will air on Dec. 19.
The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer is also scheduled to perform a string of dates at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Dec. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 17. TMZ adds that she is set to perform at Hot 97 and Busta Rhymes’ Hot for the Holidays show at New Jersey’s Prudential Center this Saturday, Dec. 5.
