The popular romantic Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solís will make his Brazilian concert debut during the 2014 World Cup.
Solís, who spoke to Billboard after a May 30 concert at the Festival Acapulco in Mexico for 14 thousand fans, also plans to record several of his songs in Portuguese in preparation for his appearances in Brazil.
Solís’ “Gracias Por Estar Ahí,” will be released next month.
“They are ten romantic songs,” he confirmed. “I am still betting on love.”
He revealed, however, that the album also includes an upbeat, rhythm-driven Christmas song, in a different mood than his holiday classic “Navidad Sin Ti,” which was also sung by the late Jenni Rivera.
Marco Antonio Solís is in the midst of a Mexican tour, which he will follow with dates in Paraguay, Bolivia, Ecuador and Argentina.
