Singer/songwriter Aimee Mann will rerelease her 2002 album “Lost in Space” (SuperEgo) Nov. 18 as a two-CD set with 10 new tracks and a video clip. The limited edition of 20,000 copies — 2,000 of which will be individually numbered — will come packaged as a bound book with additional illustrations by comic artist Seth, who created the original artwork for “Lost in Space.”
The original “Lost In Space” album will comprise one of the new edition’s discs, while the other will be populated with 10 additional tracks — two brand-new studio recordings (“Fighting the Stall” and “Observatory”), two B-sides (“Backfire” and “Nightmare Girl”) and six live performances. The latter, marking the first time Mann has officially released live material, include album tracks “It’s Not,” “Real Bad News,” “The Moth,” “This Is How It Goes” and “Invisible Ink” as well as Mann’s version of Coldplay’s “The Scientist.”
The second disc will also include a video for the “Lost in Space” track “Pavlov’s Bell.” That set debuted at No. 35 on The Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart in September 2002.
