Two more victims have been identified after a suicide member killed at least 22 and injured 59 on Monday night at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.
The fourth and fifth victims were Kelly Brewster, 32, of Sheffield and Megan Hurley of Merseyside. No age has been confirmed for Hurley yet, but it appears she was a primary school student, which would make her 11 or younger.
Brewster’s family posted to Facebook sharing the devastating news. The local Facebook page Sheffield Online also shared a photo, offering its condolences. According to The Daily Mail, Brewster’s uncle said she shielded her sister and niece from the blast at Manchester Arena.
Hurley’s family and friends have set up a crowd-funding campaign to help raise money for her memorial service. At the time of publishing, the campaign had raised £3,365 from 228 supporters, already surpassing its £3,000, or $3,891, target.
“After such a heartbreaking event where many were killed and injured through such a horrendous act of violence we can do little more than pray for the families who have suffered and hope we are never subject to the pain they must be feeling! RIP to Megan and every other victim,” said campaign organizer Helen McDermott.
On Tuesday (May 23), a vigil was held in Manchester to remember those killed in Monday’s terror attack. The previously identified casualties are Georgina Callander, 18; Saffie Rose Roussos, 8; and John Atkinson, 26.
