Magnolia Pictures has acquired the worldwide rights to Danny Says, a documentary that chronicles the life of rock and roll music industry exec Danny Fields. Fields was responsible for managing Iggy and the Stooges, MC5 and the Ramones.
“In spite of the fact that Danny helped introduce to the world some of the most transformative artists and scenes in rock and roll, his accomplishments take a back seat to the hilarity of the man himself,” said Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles. “Brendan Toller has fashioned a fantastic tribute to a true icon.”
Danny Says was produced by Pamela Lubell.
The deal was negotiated by Submarine Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.
