“The Sylvee is being built out of a deep love for live music and the city of Madison,” Frank Productions COO Larry Frank said in a release.
Set to open in late September, The Sylvee is the newest Midwest establishment from Frank Productions and FPC Live. The 40,000-square-foot music hall broke ground in May 2017 and is named for the matriarch of the family, Sylvia Frank. Sylvia Frank co-founded Frank Productions with her husband Herb in 1964.
The Sylvee will be a flexible venue, able to accommodate 1,200 to 2,500 guests, and features a balcony with VIP seating and a GA floor.
“After so many years of planning we’re just excited to finally get some artist names out there,” COO Fred Frank said in a release. “It’s going to be an incredible start to a new era of live music in Madison.”
The venue, which has been in the works for several years, will be located in Madison’s Cap East District that is part of a city-led redevelopment of an industrial space. Frank Productions will also move their offices to the space once construction is complete.
