Why He’s Hot: Madeon broke through last year via a YouTube video showing just his hands launching samples of 39 individual songs via ablinking Novation LaunchPad. The result was a three-minute megamix of danceable pop, from Madonna to Gossip to Daft Punk, and – 13.5 million views later – an international career for the now 18-year-old Frenchman. The suit-jacket-wearing teen is already a solid festival draw, playing key sets at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Lollapalooza and Ultra Music Festival. And he’s a producer with an ear: His remix of deadmau5’s “Raise Your Weapon” injected the moody original with disco, and his first single “Icarus” (self-released on his own popcultur label) is an undeniably French bit of electro-funk that’s so catchy, it backed a routine on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”
