Machine Gun Kelly unveiled his scarily self-reflective video for “Glass House” on Wednesday (Oct. 30), and the Jordan Wozy-directed clip portrays the dark lyrics by showing scenes of MGK and collaborator Naomi Wild, bloodied and trapped in a burning car.
The rapper reflects on his late music peers who were taken way too soon, including Mac Miller, Lil Peep, Nipsey Hussle and Chester Bennington. He also plays through his own life struggles as he stands in a glass box. “I didn’t sign up to be the hero, but I don’t want to wind up a villain / I put my daughter to bed, then attempted to kill myself in the kitchen / Yeah, I should’ve screamed, but nobody listened / So I passed out with the blood dripping / In this glass house, feelin’ like a prison,” he raps.
