Lupe Fiasco Plays New Song at Wake Forest Gig
After what’s felt like an eternity of setbacks and revisions, Lupe Fiasco recently gave patient fans a release date for his upcoming album “Lasers” — March 11 — and threw in a preview of what he’s been working on to make up for the wait.

The rapper played a recording of a new song at Wake Forest University’s homecoming in Wake Forest, N.C. this past weekend. The 52-second clip features a Kid Cudi-esque track that many probably aren’t expecting from Fiasco. The rapper’s DJ played the track to the crowd while Fiasco danced around stage, pantomiming key verses.
We’re hoping Fiasco will give a full preview in days to come so there’s something to hold us over until the spring.
