The production team of LunyTunes, widely recognized as one of the most prolific and influential in reggaeton, has inked a worldwide co-publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing.
LunyTunes are Francisco Saldana (Luny) and Victor Cabrera (Tunes). As LunyTunes, they have written and produced for almost every artist in reggaeton as well as creating their own recorded material, including “La Trayectoria” and “Mas Flow Vol. 2,” which are currently on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums Chart.
The EMI deal covers their entire catalog, as well as works by acts signed to their Mas Flow publishing, which in turn, is part of the duo’s Mas Flow music company.
EMI has plans to pair up LunyTunes with a wide range of acts, Latin and non Latin, in an effort to work their music in the mainstream American and European markets. LunyTunes currently have credits on R Kelly’s new album and are slated to have a track on Ricky Martin’s upcoming release.
In late July, EMI also signed Daddy Yankee to an administration deal outside the United States.
