5 Seconds of Summer are on a white-hot streak. The Aussie pop rock outfit blasted to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with each of their first three titles, a history-setting record for a band (not vocal group). Their latest, CALM, dropped at the stroke of midnight. Will the lads make it four-in-a-row?
Frontman and co-songwriter Luke Hemmings give the new release a proper plug when he appeared on The Tonight Show’s latest “At Home” edition, for an acoustic cut of album track “Old Me.”
Wearing a Sammy Hagar-era Van Halen shirt, Hemmings taped a performance from a nondescript room in Sydney. “Obviously we can’t be in your beautiful studio but we’re doing the best we can at home right now. I hope everyone is staying safe out there.”
Jimmy Fallon and other late-night TV hosts are taking their shows in-house during the coronavirus pandemic. Fallon’s “At Home” sessions premiere on YouTube, and later air as part of each encore episode during the show’s nightly NBC telecast.
“Old Me” released in February, the fourth track off the band’s fourth and latest album.
