Ludacris earns his third No. 1 single, as “Money Maker” featuring Pharrell advances one rung to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The cut replaces Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack,” which falls to No. 2 after topping the Hot 100 for seven weeks but remains atop the Pop 100 for a seventh frame.
“Money Maker” is also the Hot 100’s greatest airplay gainer and rises 2-1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, ending the two-week run of Chris Brown’s “Say Goodbye.” Meanwhile, Timberlake’s new single “My Love” featuring T.I. climbs 13-8 on the Hot 100.
The latter chart’s No. 3-6 slots are unchanged from last week, occupied respectively by Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel,” Akon’s “Smack That” featuring Eminem, the Fray’s “How To Save a Life” and Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.” The Hinder track also notches a second week atop Hot Digital Songs.
Elsewhere on the Hot 100, JoJo’s “Too Little Too Late” ascends 8-7, Jibbs’ “Chain Hang Low” drops 7-9 and Nickelback’s “Far Away” holds at No. 10 to round out the top tier.
Augustana’s “Boston” is the chart’s greatest digital gainer, rising 88-54 in its second week and Lady Sovereign’s “Love Me or Hate Me (F**k You”) is the top debut at No. 81. Also new are Montgomery Gentry’s “Some People Change” (No. 97), Jack Ingram’s “Love You” (No. 98) and Jason Aldean’s “Amarillo Sky” (No. 100).
Heartland’s “I Loved Her First” jumps 2-1 on Hot Country Songs, relieving Josh Turner’s “Would You Go With Me,” which falls to No. 4 after two weeks atop the chart.
On Hot Latin Songs, Paulina Rubio’s “Ni Una Sola Palabra” drops to No. 6, relinquishing its No. 1 footing to David Bisbal’s “Quien Me Iba A Decir,” which climbs 5-1. Rising 2-1 on Adult Contemporary, Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” trades positions once again with Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day.”
The Killers’ “When You Were Young” spends a second week atop Modern Rock and Stone Sour’s “Through Glass” leads Mainstream Rock for a fifth.
