Who’s ready to reach new peaks of pop? Labrinth, Sia and Diplo‘s LSD project scales “Mountains” on its latest single, a juxtaposition of lullaby feelings and clanging electronic textures that can sing you to sleep or get you up and at ’em. Like LSD’s previous three songs, it’s colorful in pastel shades of sweetness, a nice mix of all the voices involved.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 program, Diplo said the magic of the project lies between his collaborators. “I’m definitely the third wheel in this project,” he said. “I’m just here to kind of make sure things make sense, ’cause when you put Lab and Sia in a room, it’s like the craziest concoction of two people with the most intense attention deficit disorder with the most creative people I’ve ever met.”
It seems Labrinth and Sia made somewhere around 12 tracks together, and some of those have become part of the LSD experience.
“Mountains” also got a psychedelic music video on Nov. 15. Check it out below.
