C3, the Austin, Texas-based producer of Lollapalooza music festivals in Chicago, Chile, and Brazil, announces today that it will partner on Lolla Brazil going forward with Time 4 Fun (T4F), the leading South American live entertainment promoter.
Since 2011, C3 had partnered on Lolla Brazil with GEO, the live entertainment division of Brazilian sports and entertainment firm Globo Organization and, last October, announced an expansion of that deal making C3 and GEO exclusive partners for festivals, tours and special projects in Brazil. C3 partners on Lolla Chile with Lotus Producciones.
With reported Billboard Boxscore grosses totaling nearly $177 million and attendance of more than 2 million to nearly 1,000 events in 2012, T4Fun was the third largest promoter in the world for 2012, trailing only Live Nation and AEG Live. T4F has captured the Top Independent Promoter (International) award at the Billboard Touring Conference for three of the past four years, and C3 Presents, ranked eighth among all promoters worldwide in 2012, has been named Top Independent Promoter (U.S.) for three consecutive years. The fest’s other partners include Perry Farrell and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment.
Held at the Jockey Club in Sao Paulo, Lolla Brazil 2013 in March featured Alabama Shakes, the Black Keys, the Killers, and Steve Aoki on the bill.
