Live Nation Entertainment has acquired Voodoo Music & Arts Experience in New Orleans.
Over the years, the Voodoo Fest has hosted a wide variety of acts, including Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young and Skrillex. Voodoo Fest will celebrate its 15th anniversary Nov. 1-3, with performances by Kid Rock, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris, Paramore and Bassnectar, among others.
As part of the acquisition, Voodoo Fest founder Stephen Rehage will stay on board at Live Nation. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Live Nation team” Rehage said in a statement. “Our outlooks on the festival market are aligned and we look to grow the Live Nation festival roster over the coming years.”
Bob Roux, co-president of North America Concerts at Live Nation Entertainment, added: “Stephen has built a remarkable brand and I’m looking forward to working with him to continue to enhance Voodoo and the other Live Nation festivals in the US.”
