
M.I.A. has shared her first new track of 2015 and hinted that she’ll be releasing more music this summer.
M.I.A. Goes for ‘Gold’ on Partysquad Track
The rapper began her Saturday morning (March 7) by tweeting that she’d be releasing a song called “All My People” in 30 minutes. “I refuse to be boxed back in time. Blk/White/Multicolr Do Right,” she wrote.
About an hour later, the rapper changed her mind and instead decided to drop the swirling new song “Can See Can Do.” Listen below via SoundCloud.
“Actually I want to release “All My People” when all my people are ready,” she tweeted. “To my hardcore fans hang in there summer is coming.”
M.I.A.’s fourth studio album, Matangi, debuted atop the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart when released November 2013. She first attracted attention with her 2003 single “Galang” and singed to XL Recordings a year later. Her 2005 debut album, Arular, was a critical success, and 2007’s Kala and 2010’s Maya both charted.
Last July, M.I.A. released the shiny new song “Gold” in collaboration with Partysquad. The song followed an announcement that she had left the management roster of Roc Nation.
