While the world awaits the release of Azealia Banks’ debut full-length, “Broke with Expensive Taste,” the buzzier-than-buzzworthy rapper has continued releasing hypnotic tracks. On Friday (May 11), the rapper dropped “Jumanji,” a three-minute cut from her upcoming “Fantastic” mixtape.
Produced by Hudson Mohawke and Nick Hook, “Jumanji” utilizes steel drums and an unconscious flow from the New York rapper, who is starting to sound a lot like Cam’ron and recall early Ghostface Killah (which is a great thing). “Real bitch, all day/Uptown, Broadway,” she spits. The only disappointment? No Robin Williams shout-out.

The “212” rapper, who signed a deal with Universal Music in January, revealed on Twitter earlier this week that her “1991” EP will be out within the month, while “Broke with Expensive Taste” will likely receive a fall release. The “Fantastic” mixtape has not received a more specific release date than “summer.”
In other Azealia news, M.I.A. posted on Twitter on Thursday that Banks, Rye Rye and Missy Elliott will be hopping on her “Bad Girls” remix. “Fuck!!!! you all killed it !!!!!! in your own wayzzzzzzzz high in the himalays again!” Maya wrote.
