The lineup has been unveiled for the next installment of the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival, set for April 4-6 in Camber Sands, England. As previously reported, the event will be curated by electronic duo Autechre and will be led by the first performance in more than 20 years by Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band. Although group leader Don Van Vliet will not be on hand, expect to hear material from such seminal underground releases as “Trout Mask Replica” and “Lick My Decals Off.”
Other confirmed acts include Aphex Twin, Carl Craig, El-P, the Fall, Kool Keith, Jim O’Rourke, Cannibal Ox, LFO, A Guy Called Gerald, and Andrea Parker. A host of experimental electronic and DJ acts will hold court in the Skam Records room throughout the proceedings.
As previously reported, ATP will be staged twice next year on U.S. soil. The first edition is set for June in Los Angeles and will be curated by “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening. Former Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus will curate a September installment in Asbury Park, N.J.
