Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club is off to a strong start, clocking in as one of the top five new cable shows of the 2018-19 season to-date among young adults. The premiere is another win for MTV, following the network’s sixth consecutive quarter of prime growth – its best streak in 19 years.
Set in Mykonos, Greece, the hour-long docu-series follows the “Bossy” singer and her creative partner, Panos Spentzos, as they lead a handpicked team of nightlife professionals to launch her new club. According to Neilson, the show scored well with female audiences, delivering triple digit growth for MTV: 0.59 rating for women 35-49 (up 269 percent), 0.61 for 25-34 (up 49 percent) and 0.52 for 18-24 (up 148 percent).
According to Neilson, Beach Club scored a 0.39 rating in the 18-34 demographic, crashing in at No. 5 on the list of top five new cable show debuts of the season (from October 2018 to present) among that demo. The show’s debut trailed only VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle (0.92), Remy & Papoose (0.69) and Cartel Crew (0.65) and MTV series How Far Is Tattoo Far (0.59). It should be noted that all five shows broadcast on Viacom-owned networks.
The buzzy series airs Tuesdays at 8pm EST on MTV.
