Linda Ramone Rules Bazaar’s Party, Plans Semi-Autobiography
Amid all the A-listers at Harper’s Bazaar’s 150 Most Fashionable Women event at Sunset Tower in Los Angeles on Jan. 27, the talk of the party was Linda Ramone, who arrived with 32-year-old J.D. King and swiveled heads with her all-pink, custom-made Glen Palmer dress, South Paradiso cape and Baron top hat. The 56-year-old philanthropist and widow of Johnny Ramone hung out with Demi Moore and her two daughters, Rumer and Tallulah Willis, outside the gala.
When later asked about her 2017 plans, Linda said, “I started my semi-autobiography. I am going to make it more of a teenage romance, because that’s really what it was.” Among the other stars toasting the 150th birthday of Bazaar’s: Heidi Klum, Tommy Hilfiger, Simon Fuller, Elle Fanning, Salma Hayek and Kendall Jenner, who wore a La Perla see-through lace dress and chatted with Miranda Kerr on the terrace.
Braun Bros. Boogie With Usher
One week after his client Justin Bieber hopped on the drums for an impromptu performance at The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood, Scooter Braun threw a party at the new hot spot on Jan. 23 in support of Pencils of Promise, a school-construction nonprofit founded by his brother, Adam Braun. Unfortunately, Adam was late to the soiree due to a delayed flight, but Scooter made up for his absence, commanding everyone to raise a glass to party sponsor Chivas Regal Ultis and bringing Usher onstage to cover James Brown’s “Get On Up” with veteran R&B guitarist SaRon Crenshaw.
When Adam finally arrived, his big brother congratulated him on Pencils of Promise breaking ground on its 400th school, and for recently welcoming twins with his wife. “Nine days after they were born, my wife and I had our second child,” said Scooter. “We both have been exhausted.”
