On Tuesday’s (Sept. 9) episode of The Talk, co-host and series creator Sara Gilbert revealed some major news: She’s pregnant.
Gilbert has two children — a 7-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son — from her previous relationship with TV producer Allison Adler, but this will be her first child with wife Linda Perry, whom she married in March. The TV host and rock singer-songwriter-producer have been dating three years.

The pregnancy reveal came about thanks to a rather bizarre setup. During Tuesday’s “Facing Your Fears” segment of The Talk, Gilbert was supposed to lie on a bed of nails and have a cinder block smashed over her stomach.
Naturally, that’s not something a pregnant woman should do — so Gilbert revealed she was expecting while declining the task. “I actually can’t do it, because I’m pregnant,” Gilbert said. “I feel good, I feel really good.”
Congrats to the happy couple — and congrats to Gilbert on great timing.
